Ross Mountain Parking Area

A second parking area to serve riders coming to Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park is under construction. It is located off Ross Mountain Road in Mountain Rest, SC. The parking site has been cleared, graded and graveled. This expansive area will allow between 30-40 vehicles to park at the other end of the trail system.

FEE AREA

Once the area is completed, users will be required to pay a fee to enter and park vehicles.

Daily Fee: $5 per vehicle

Annual Pass: $25 for Oconee County residents; $35 out-of-county residents; Free for city of Walhalla residents
Annual passes are available for purchase at Walhalla City Hall - 206 N. Church Street, Walhalla, SC Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

HERITAGE PRESERVE

An existing gravel road borders the new parking lot. It leads to hiking trails within a Heritage Preserve managed by the SC Department of Natural Resources. Due to regulations, the area is permissible to foot traffic only. Bikes are not allowed to “be pushed or otherwise”.

This has been problematic in the past, but construction of the new parking area means riders will be able to access trails without entering Heritage Preserve property.
