Volunteer Opportunities

A small dedicated group of community members volunteer their time to help maintain the trails at Stumphouse Park. With all the new trails, they’re looking for people to join the cause!

For everyone’s safety pay attention to trail closures

“If you see a trail taped off, do not enter it. If you see a trail with a closure sign, do not enter it. Trails are closed down for several reasons. One being your safety. The other being the integrity of the freshly built trails. Especially with the rain we will be seeing in the upcoming months, it is important that everyone stays off of fresh, unopened trails.”

Ross Mountain Passage

This is the 30th passage to be completed along the Palmetto Trail, which spans nearly 500-miles across the state of South Carolina from the mountains to the sea.

Ross Mountain Passage is a 4.9-mile long hiking and biking trail that connects Stumphouse Park to Oconee State Park.

A map of the trail can be seen on kiosks installed along Ross Mountain Passage. Palmetto Conservation has posted the the trail map on their website found HERE.
